REVIEW – Captain America: Civil War Trailer 2

SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THIS TRAILER AND HAVE MANAGED TO ESCAPE THE BIG SURPRISE, PLEASE GO WATCH THE TRAILER FIRST! AGAIN, SPOILERS! CARRY ON!

When I saw this trailer for the first time I screamed. I ugly cried. I laid on the floor of my living room and waited for my body to stop shaking. None of that is hyperbole.

I was completely excited by a trailer that hit all the requisites of explaining the premise and giving us new footage without spoiling major plot points. It was actually nice enough to make sure I was invested in the characters as well.

And then Spider-Man showed up after being summoned by the most perfect nickname of all time: Underoos.

I lost all sense of space and time. I then saw the world devoid of limitation, it was then just a vast landscape of hope and potential. When I returned home from the vortex, I watched this trailer again in order to see it from a more sober point of view. Surely all that hype grown by MARVEL over several quality films has to be clouding my judgement.

What I saw a second (third, fifth and tenth) time around was a cinematic universe that may actually be no longer content with just rounding up as many characters as it can.

MARVEL may actually manage to tell one hell of a story with all of those characters.

Check out my video review below. Seriously. It took forever to edit because I had so many feelings (over an hour’s worth that I managed to whittle down to a manageable amount). Thanks!
